Who doesn’t want to cozy up to a nice cup of hot chocolate this time of year?
Unfortunately, most of the store bought, premade mixes are high in sugar and contain all sorts of additives and preservatives that you don’t want in your body.
This healthy hot chocolate recipe uses all natural ingredients, is dairy free, and low in sugar. We use raw cacao instead of traditional cocoa for its high antioxidant content. Maple syrup is mineral dense, making it a great substitute for traditional sugar. To spice it up we add a dash of cayenne and cinnamon. As an option you can also add in a little collagen for a creamier consistency and a boost of protein.
